The Project:
Based in the state of Washington, USA, Ms JH is a professional architect who, in 2013, was given the task of choosing a deep soaking tub as part of a residential bathroom refurbishment project. The property itself – an asymmetrical foursquare house – was 106 years old and the bathroom design concept blended traditionally styled fixtures with modern, angular lines.
A pair of hand basins had already been fitted so the architect reviewed Cabuchon’s colour library to find a cool shade of white that would match them precisely. The bath – a Calyx 1440 deep soaking tub from Cabuchon Bathforms – was duly manufactured in the selected colour and then shipped over to Washington. There, it was installed within the wet-room setting, undermounted beneath marble tiling.
