Project Description
Deep Soaking Tub, Lancashire, UK
Product: Nirvana Japanese Soaking Tub
Client: Ms A P & Family
The Project:
Ms A P and her family visited the Cabuchon showroom in July 2021 because they were moving into a new home in Lancaster and needed to upgrade their family bathroom. At the showroom, they were able to test a variety of bath models and to get a good sense of the tactile and insulative qualities of Ficore – the material from which all Cabuchon baths are made.
The family wanted a space-saving bath so that they could have enough room to install a separate shower cubicle. Consequently, a deep soaking tub was their favoured option.
Another important consideration was versatility. The chosen bath would have to work well for a tall adult as well as for two young children. Ms A P is 1.83m (6ft) in height so she was reassured to be able to sit in the Nirvana deep soaking tub and find that it was a very comfortable fit. Despite its small footprint, the tub is an excellent choice for taller people. The internal dimensions and the ergonomic design of the seat mean that it will accommodate bathers of virtually any size. The tallest Nirvana-user that we’ve met to date stands 6’ 7” (2.01 metres) tall.
However, it was also important that, as a family bath, the Nirvana would work well for children. Ms A P was therefore pleased to see that with an integral seat, footwell and tall sides, the bath would save on water and create a comfortable area for bathing her two young sons.
Following the family’s visit, Ms A P purchased the Nirvana deep soaking tub, which we supplied complete with a compatible extended waste/overflow system. The bath was duly completed to order and delivered to the family’s new home.
“The quality of the soaking tub from Cabuchon looked to be far superior to any of the competitors that I could find. The communication with the company was also great; they were very helpful throughout the whole process, from the showroom visit until the final installation.
“We are so glad that we went for the Nirvana bathtub. As a tall person (I’m 1.83m) it is hard to find a bath that won’t have your knees and/or shoulders sticking out. We are really pleased with it. But despite its capacity, I feel we are actually saving water. I have two young boys, so only having to fill the tub at the bottom is also ideal. No splashing water going everywhere.
“As a family, we also like the fact it retains the water’s heat. I like to soak for quite a long time and, normally, I would have to turn the hot tap back on quite a few times. I haven’t done that with this tub yet.”
The space-saving Nirvana soaking tub made room for a separate shower cubicle in the same bathroom
