The Project:
When Mr A and his partner set out to design a bathroom for their new home in Dunedin, they knew that they wanted a bath with greater depth than ordinary baths, and with a more compact footprint. Finding little to suit them in New Zealand, they searched online and soon found the Cabuchon website, where they discovered a choice of a Japanese-style deep soaking bathtubs.
Having considered the various styles, they opted for the Calyx 1230 soaking tub, whose minimalist design makes it suitable for a broad range of interior aesthetics. Their next concerns were whether it could be prepared for installation according to New Zealand building regulations, and whether it would be challenging to organise the shipment.
Cabuchon’s customer services team was happy to help. Having previously supplied many other baths to clients in New Zealand, we confirmed that all holes would be pre-drilled according to the relevant codes. We also introduced the client to a customs agent, through which the bath was safely delivered.
