We regret to announce the passing of Cabuchon’s founder and executive chairman, Tony Pontin. He passed away peacefully at home on 3rd December 2022.
Tony acquired our parent company, Design & Form, in 1993. He brought with him over 15 years of experience and expertise in the luxury bathing market, having become well established and respected within the industry. Applying his expertise and vision, he was responsible, in part, for the design of the Imersa, the world’s first modern deep soaking tub. Launched in 1991, it was also the first product to be introduced under the Cabuchon Bathforms brand.
Maintaining a strict focus on quality and customer care, Tony oversaw a long period of growth and innovation. He was also responsible for conceiving our ‘company credo’ which explains our company philosophy and values, and which will continue to shape the way our company evolves.
Before his partial retirement in 2020, Tony put in place a robust management team that has continued to drive the company’s growth. Business will therefore continue as usual, with no operational changes.
